SAMPLE ISSUE

A useful brief beats a longer prompt

One idea you can use on your next AI task.

PRACTICAL NOTES / SAMPLE ISSUE 01

Start with the output

A vague request gives an AI tool room to make choices you may not want. Adding more words will not help if the deliverable is still unclear.

First, name what you need: three CV bullets, a comparison table or a one-page brief. Then list the sources, constraints and checks.

A worked example

Instead of: Help me improve my CV.

Use my current CV and the supplied job description. Draft three achievement bullets in English. Keep my role, dates and verified results unchanged. Flag missing evidence. Return an editable draft and a short list of questions.

Illustrative example, not a claim about a client or hiring outcome.

Try it on your next task

  1. Name the deliverable and its audience.
  2. List the sources and facts that must stay unchanged.
  3. Write one specific way to check the result.
