The written version

01

Choose an outcome

Replace “help with my CV” with “draft three achievement bullets for this role”. A concrete deliverable gives you something to review.

02

Choose the inputs

Use a current CV, the job description and permitted examples. Name which sources it may use. Remove information that should not be shared.

03

Set boundaries

Keep dates, roles and supported results intact. Ask for missing evidence to be flagged, not filled with plausible detail.

04

Review the result

Compare every claim with its source. Check the format, intended audience and whether the draft answers the brief. Revise before sharing.

An example AI brief

VAGUE REQUEST

Help me improve my CV.

A CLEARER BRIEF

Use my current CV and the supplied job description. Draft three achievement bullets in English. Keep my role, dates and verified results unchanged. Flag missing evidence. Return an editable draft and a short list of questions.

Illustrative teaching example. It is not a client result or a promise of hiring success.

Worked example: a consultation-page brief

Teaching example using synthetic materials. No video has been published.

1. Source material

Teaching scenario: prepare a landing-page brief for a free 30-minute Google Meet call. Languages: Russian and English. A full audit is excluded. Time is agreed manually. The price of paid work is not yet known.

2. Instruction

Use only these facts. Return the audience, offer, button and exclusions. Do not promise advertising results, automatic booking or a paid-service price.

3. Draft with a deliberate error

“Book an instant free audit: increase sales in 30 minutes.” This deliberately incorrect exercise draft is not an AI-generated result or a client case.

4. Review

Remove “instant”: scheduling is manual. Replace “audit” with an introduction: an audit is excluded. Remove the sales promise: no evidence supports it. Retain 30 minutes, Google Meet and both languages.

5. Corrected output

Audience: someone with an advertising or analytics task. Offer: a free 30-minute Google Meet call in Russian or English. Button: “Discuss your task”. Exclusion: no full audit; time is agreed after an enquiry.
